The TechwearUSA art department is dedicated to helping you realize your vision. We work according to your instructions, using pre-existing art, modifying an existing design, or creating a unique design from scratch.

Formats
For any of the "Custom Shirt" categories, logos and/or other art must be in Vector Format for us to work with it. Over-simplified, vector format means that images can be expanded or contracted without damage to the image. If your art is not in Vector Format we can have it converted: Converting a high resolution, low detail image to vector format - $25 per logo, conversion of a low resolution, high detail image to vector format must be determined on an individual basis. If don't know what vector art based programs are, don’t worry, just contact the art department, and we will explain everything.

"Shirt Layout" is different from "Logo Art". The "shirt layout" is the arrangement of colors and/or lines within the pattern, or cut, of the shirt. In context, once the shirt layout is done, we size and place the "Logos Art" on it. The best way to start is to check out our product sections, read the definitions, visit Mockup and Photo Galleries, and make notes about what you like. If you want something more specific, or unique, download and print our "SHIRT TEMPLATE", and make a hand sketch. Remember time is money; the better articulated your idea, the less time it will take to realize your vision.

Since there is usually a commercial or personal art component that is equally important, the shirt body design is rarely the whole story, so PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND: We cannot actually place your order until your design layout and logo/art are truly complete - the next two paragraphs will clarify...

Here follows a brief discussion of logos/art, and your role in getting your shirts done:

TechwearUSA maintains a large library of logos from various manufacturers, many, however, require specific permission for their use. We will tell you if you need permission, and provide you with contact information, but you must obtain this permission. If the required logo is not on file, then you must obtain the art file (see art tutorial, and permission from the owner for its use. If you have a logo, or art, and want to know if we can use it without conversion to vector format (art tutorial), email it to us, and we'll let you know, but the below will still be required.

Please be clear on this:
Have all of the art files (ones we do not already have), and/or permissions sent to you. When you have them all, send us everything at once (as attachments to your email), along with the quantities and sizes, and your credit card information, address, email, and phone, and etc... Save your sent email to us for reference. This is the day your order actually begins, whether it is a "Customized Stock Shirt", a "Customized T-Shirt", or a shirt from one of our "Custom" categories. Important notes about the services of an outside graphic artist (even one we recommend): These folks are graphic artists, not shirt specialists, so your "Full Custom" fantastical design must still be vetted by us to make sure that two things are right:
A. The shirt has to "Line Up" correctly. Explanation: The shirt sleeves, front, and back of a shirt, are asymmetrical, but the artists never draw them that way, therefore, with shirt designs in which there are lines, or a pattern, that flows around a sleeve, or from the chest, through the sleeve, and into the back, frequently must be corrected by us (design rate of $55 per hour) so that the integrity of the design is maintained when the shirt is sewn together.
B. Colors: We need to vet the colors to make sure that they will turn out to be what you want. Remember, our Techstatic fabric is a silvery grey, but a graphic artist has no choice but to treat it as though it were white. If the exact colors are critical, this would involve our time at $55 per hour.
